Provides students with an acute care clinic/triage nurse, primary care clinic, sports medicine clinic, and women’s health clinic. After hours, students are encouraged to seek services through the Sexual Assault Center of East Tennessee or at the UT Medical Center emergency room.

The Center for Care and Resilience (CCR) team manages the 974-HELP (4357), a 24-hour line answered by CCR members during business hours. During university closures, calls are answered by a mental health professional who connects callers to appropriate/immediate resources and provides a referral to the Care & Resilience team.

CCR works collaboratively with students and the University to support individuals who are experiencing distress in their lives. CCR can address student concerns, help them get connected, and support students in distress.

The Office of Investigation and Resolution (OIR) serves as the central campus investigation unit for UTK (including the UT Institute of Agriculture and UT Space Institute), the UT System Administration, and the UT Institute for Public Service. OIR serves to investigate and resolve faculty/staff-related reports of sexual misconduct, relationship violence, stalking, and retaliation.

YWCA advocates provide comprehensive support for victims of dating/domestic violence, including safety planning and crisis intervention, education on victim’s rights and victim compensation, navigation of the justice system, accompaniment to court, referrals for and assistance accessing essential services, referrals to support group, and follow-up services.

All calls to the hotline are confidential and anonymous. The hotline is available to callers 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to provide services in more than 170 languages. Hotline advocates answer questions, provide safety planning and information as well as directly connect callers to domestic violence resources available in their local calling area.
