Dear colleagues,

In 2019, as a commitment to engage in targeted collective action, the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, became one of 28 founding members of the National Academies of Science Engineering, and Medicine’s Action Collaborative on Preventing Sexual Harassment in Higher Education. Through this initiative, we are working to implement evidence-based policies and practices for addressing and preventing sexual harassment and promoting a campus climate of civility and respect.

On October 19 and 20, we will be joining our fellow member institutions at the second annual Action Collaborative Public Summit to help identify innovative practices to address sexual harassment in higher education. You are invited to attend this year’s virtual summit, which will be co-hosted by the University of Wisconsin System and the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine. The virtual summit will feature a combination of panel discussions, expert presentations, and discussions with attendees.
