Title IX Commitment and Policy

Dear Volunteer community,

As we begin the new academic year, I want to welcome you. My name is Ashley Blamey, and I serve as the Title IX coordinator. The Office of Title IX works to ensure access to educational programs and activities at the university.

Please join me on Tuesday, September 12, for the annual Title IX town hall. We will update you on our policy, share prevention and education initiatives, review available support and resolution options, and share data and trends from 2022.

I encourage you to review the 2023–24 Policy on Sexual Harassment, Sexual Assault, Dating and Domestic Violence, and Stalking.

It is important to understand your role in creating, maintaining, and expecting a campus culture that is free from sexual harassment and sexual misconduct. I ask you to ACT—Acknowledge the situation, Consider your options, and Take action. To register for Vols ACT training or learn more about related programs and activities, visit our training and events page.

We are working toward an informed and engaged community. You are part of the solution.

Our door remains open year-round to your ideas, suggestions, questions, and concerns.

I look forward to working with you.

Ashley Blamey
Title IX Coordinator
